How to Restrict Remote Access to Your Servers

If you are looking to restrict remote access to your servers, you will need to do the following:

Once SSH (Secure Shell) /RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) is enabled for your server (Contact our Support team to enable remote access to your server). We permit SSH/RDP access through our firewalls from any IP address. You will then need to restrict access from certain source IPs using your server's integrated firewall (ie. Plesk firewall/IPTables/Windows firewall).

If you would like us to restrict your IPs in the server firewall, please provide us the relevant IPs and we shall add it for you. You may obtain your IP address by accessing the site http://www.whatismyip.com . You may contact technical Support by raising a ticket through your control centre (https://control.bytehouse.co.uk)
