Email Issue for Domains Using Incoming Anti-Spam Filters


 


Customers who are using the Bytehouse incoming anti-spam service, should add a local SPF rule, if the SPF spam protection is enabled. This type of rule is necessary as the incoming spam filter will modify the IP address in the email header which will be cross checked in SPF spam protection which will result in an email rejection.

Here is a sample of an email rejection log that is given below.

Please follow the steps below to add a local SPF rule in Plesk panel.

1. Login to Plesk panel.
2. Select "Tools & settings" under server management in the left pane.
3. Select "mail server settings" under the option mail.
4. In the option 'Switch on SPF spam protection', add "a:mailers.bytehouse.co.uk" to the SPF local rule.
5. Click "OK" to save the changes.
