Manually Connect Outlook 2003/2007 To My Exchange Mailbox

To manually connect Outlook 2003:

1. Start Outlook and click 'New'
2. Enter 'Profile Name' and click 'OK'
3. Select 'Add a new email account' and click 'Next'.
4. Select 'Microsoft Exchange Server' and click 'Next'.
5. Enter 'Server settings':

    Microsoft Exchange Server: contact Bytehouse support if you don't know the server details
    Use Cached Exchange Mode: yes
    Username: Full email address

Note: You can ignore the password prompt at this point of setup. If you get an error message or additional login request, click Cancel again.

6. Click 'More Settings'
 
   Navigate to Connection tab, select the checkbox Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP and click Exchange Proxy Settings.
   On Exchange proxy settings page specify the following:

    Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange: Contact Bytehouse if you don't have details of server name.
    Connect using SSL only: Yes
    On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP: Yes
    On slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP: Yes
    Use this authentication when connecting to my proxy server for Exchange: Basic Authentication

7. Click OK > Apply > OK > Next > Finish. If prompted for password then enter it.
8. Start Outlook in this profile

To manually connect Outlook 2007:

1. Start Outlook and click New
2. Enter the profile name and click OK
3. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next
4. Select Microsoft Exchange and click Next
5. Enter your Exchange server settings and click More Settings
    Microsoft Exchange Server: contact Bytehouse support if you don't know the server details
    Use Cached Exchange Mode: Yes
    Username: Full email address

Note: You can ignore the password prompt at this point of setup. If you get an error message or additional login request, click Cancel again.

6.Navigate to Connection tab, select the checkbox Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP and click Exchange Proxy Settings.
On Exchange proxy settings page specify the following:

7. Click OK > Apply > OK > Next > Finish.  If prompted for the password then enter it.
8. Start Outlook in this profile
