How to connect Microsoft Outlook Express to POP/IMAP Email for Exchange Accounts

Below detailed instructions are listed on how to connect to POP/IMAP Email for Outlook Express mail client specifically. However, those instructions are generic and can be applied to any widely-used mail client (both desktop and hand-held-based).

1. Start Outlook Express. Choose Tools > Accounts from the menu on the top.
2. Click Add button and choose Mail.
3. Enter following details:

User Information
    Display Name: Type your mailbox Display Name and click Next
    Email address: Type your email address and click Next
Server Information
    Contact Bytehouse support to get the server informations
Logon Information
        Account name: Type your email address (use the full email address)
        Password: Type your mailbox password

4. Click More Settings.
    
    Switch to Outgoing Server tab and check the box next to My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
    Switch to the Advanced tab.
    For Incoming server (POP3 or IMAP): make sure port 993 (for IMAP) or 995 (for POP) is entered, select the check-box next to 'This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)'
    For Outgoing server (SMTP): enter port 25, select TLS in drop-down menu.
    For POP3 connection you may want to select an option to Leave a copy of messages on the server.
    For Outlook 2013: enter Inbox in the 'Root Folder Path' field.

5. Click OK, click Next and Finish to complete setup.
